The Werewolf Game
Project Overview
A design concept featuring seven unique character cards (7×12cm) and a coordinating master illustration (32×32cm) for the tabletop game Werewolf.
Driven by a love for interactive product illustration, this project focuses on giving each role a sharp visual identity using strong color palettes and textured digital brushes. The card borders and typography are kept high-contrast and minimalist, keeping the layout functional for physical tabletop play while letting the characters tell the story.
SEER
Faction: Human Faction
Seer’s Resolve: Though the divine voice has fallen silent, she walks on—guiding others through the dark.
Ability: Revelation
Each night, choose one player. You learn whether that player belongs to the Werewolf Faction.
DREAM WEAVER
Faction: Human Faction
Dream Witch: Her woven dream was defiled. In wrath, she returns—to erase all threats and guard a fragile illusion. An outsider, feared by those who wake.
Ability: Dream Binding
Each night, choose one player to become a Sleepwalker. That player cannot be eliminated that night. If the same player is chosen for two consecutive nights, they are permanently removed from the game. If you are eliminated at night, all Sleepwalkers are immediately eliminated.
The Back of the Card
WITCH
Faction: Human Faction
Forest Lament: Man is detestable. The wolves, no less. Why must they disturb the forest's stillness, and claim what was never theirs?
Ability: Twin Elixirs
You have one Elixir of Life and one Elixir of Death.
Elixir of Life: Use at night to save a player targeted for elimination by the Werewolves.
Elixir of Death: Use at night to eliminate one player.
Note: You cannot use the Elixir of Life on yourself. A player eliminated by the Elixir of Death cannot activate any abilities upon elimination.
VILLAGER
Faction: Human Faction
Dread: A restless unease takes hold. The mind knows no stillness.
Ability: None
You have no special abilities. Each night, you take no action and remain asleep until daybreak.
THE "KING" WOLF
Faction: Werewolf Faction
Obsession: A will entwined by its own fixation. Bound fast, it cannot be relinquished.
Ability: Death Bond
When this player is eliminated, they may choose one other player. That player is immediately eliminated.
NIGHTMARE
Faction: Werewolf Faction
Nightmare Devotee: The helplessness of mortals within dreams is the draught from which he drinks.
Ability: Silence
Each night, choose one player. That player cannot use their ability that night.
WEREWOLF
Faction: Werewolf Faction
Savage Mind: A tide of violence surges within, unbidden and unending.
Ability: Werewolf Conclave
Each night, all players in the Werewolf Faction wake and collectively choose one player to eliminate.
